Manitoba Immigration | MPNP Renewal: Skilled Worker Overseas Stream to attract more immigrants to the province
The Canada and Manitoba governments have reached an agreement on the renewal of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). The renewed Skilled Worker Overseas Stream is for applicants who demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba through the support of family members or friends; through previous education or work experience in the province; or through an Invitation to Apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The renewed stream offers a new pathway to nominate qualified applicants for the federal Express Entry program. Priority will be given to candidates with close family connections in Manitoba and spouses who have the language proficiency, training and experience to quickly find jobs in in-demand occupations.
There are two main pathways: Manitoba Express Entry Pathway and Human Capital Pathway. To be eligible under this stream, you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria and score a minimum of 60 points to be considered for nomination.
In addition, the MPNP continues to support Manitoba’s francophone immigration strategy by providing priority for francophone applicants who meet the required criteria in one or more of the four streams.
